Who we are

Mindverse is an independent notes application. Questions about this policy can be sent to support@mindverseapp.com.

Data we collect

Mindverse does not operate a backend that collects your notes, recordings, photos, AI outputs, or personal profile. The app does not include third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

• Notes and metadata are stored on your device as Markdown files.
• Photos and voice recordings are stored on your device alongside your notes.
• Search indexes remain local to the app. App preferences are stored locally, and supported settings, including cloud AI configuration, are also synchronized when Google Drive sync is enabled.
• Files you choose to sync are stored in your own Google Drive account.

On-device AI

On-device AI processes note content locally where supported. Compatible Android phones can use Gemini Nano; platform-specific speech and vision capabilities depend on the release and device.

When using on-device models, including Gemini Nano and Apple Foundation Models on supported devices, processing takes place locally. Content processed by these models, including Google Drive content, is not transmitted to the model provider for training or secondary purposes.

Mindverse does not use user content, including data obtained through Google Drive, to train AI or machine-learning models.

Mindverse also lets you choose and configure your own AI model provider using your own account and API credentials. When enabled, the note content needed for AI features is sent directly from your device to your chosen provider’s API, without passing through Mindverse servers. This applies whether your notes are stored only on your device or synchronized with Google Drive.

Aggregator services such as OpenRouter may forward requests to downstream model providers. Your selected provider’s terms and privacy practices govern its handling of this information. You are responsible for reviewing those terms and your account’s data-handling settings.

Google Drive sync

Google Drive sync is optional and uses Google's official authorization flow. When enabled, Mindverse reads and writes notes and related media in your own Google Drive account so your devices can stay in sync. Your files do not pass through Mindverse servers. Mindverse does not receive your Google password; the app receives authorization tokens to access Drive with your permission.

You can disable sync or revoke Mindverse access from your Google account at any time. Disabling sync does not delete files already stored in your Drive.

Google API Limited Use

Mindverse’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs, including raw and derived Google Workspace user data, will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy and the Google Workspace API User Data and Developer Policy, including their Limited Use requirements.

Data security

Data is transmitted securely over HTTPS directly between your device and Google Drive, without passing through Mindverse servers.

Local data is protected by your device’s operating-system access controls and any device encryption you have enabled. Mindverse does not apply additional application-level encryption to local files or settings.

For optional cloud AI, HTTPS endpoints encrypt data in transit. Custom endpoint security depends on your configuration. AI settings and your configured API key are stored locally and are included in Google Drive configuration synchronization.

App Store and Google Play

Apple and Google may process purchase, download, crash, or device information under their own policies when you obtain or use Mindverse through their stores. Mindverse may see aggregate, non-identifying download and performance information supplied by those platforms.

Children's privacy

Mindverse does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because Mindverse has no account system or note-storage backend, personal note content is not submitted to Mindverse.

Changes to this policy

This policy may change as Mindverse develops. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date before they take effect.
